Hi, my name is Francesco Mantovani. If you wonder what Komakino means, it’s the name of a song written by Joy Division, a famous English band from the 80s. I love his references to cinema (kino) and to something indefinable and elusive, almost magical.
I have a background of studies rooted in graphic design and in a long and complicated relationship with advertising design. I have been freelancing since 2014. I contributed to projects for FOSCARINI, ARMANI AX, POMELLATO, DODO, REPLAY, MARINA RINALDI, ATLAS.TI.

I alternate the working projects of motion design and post-production with the teaching activity at the design course of the Republic of San Marino, where I am professor for the Motion Graphic laboratory. I live and work in Quattro Castella, a beautiful village in the province of Reggio Emilia, the cradle of Parmigiano Reggiano.
